There are a couple of great local bars that are within walking distance of the Lee House. You can head to O’Rourke’s for a friendly Irish pub with some of Maysville’s best bar grub or head to Chandler’s Bar if you’re looking for a slightly more upscale experience. Also, we recommend checking out the Old Pogue Distillery, which is an official stop on the Kentucky Bourbon trail.
The Lee House inn is more than just a hotel to us, it’s a unique piece of history and we want to share it with our guests. We’ve spent over 15 years restoring this treasure that’s stood here as long as Maysville itself, and we really appreciate your stay with us.

Old Pogue Distillery
It’s not actually a bar but the site of a museum and distillery. It’s said that it is the oldest distillery in Kentucky according to the Kentucky Gateway Museum.
Visitors age 21 and older can enjoy a tasting of both Old Pogue Master’s Select Bourbon and Old Maysville Club, a rye malted whiskey. Tastings are $5 each; limit two per person.
